The summer of 2015 was a great hiking adventure for Jacoby. He went on two Wildness Monitoring trips: one with Becky to Camp Rich and another with Steve to Mt Resolution.
The summer got even better for him when he went on an epic, 10-mile hike with GrampaT on the Rocky Branch trail. We drove two cars and Katy and NanaT dropped us off at the Jericho Road trailhead, and then they dropped off the second car for us on Route 16.
As we started our hike, Steve saw something popped up on the trailhead that looked like a shovel with the handle pushed into the ground. Jacoby went over to investigate and Steve took this great picture of Jacoby exploring a trail mushroom!

It was a beautiful Fall day as evidenced by the foliage that GrampaT stopped to enjoy along the trail

Jacoby was smiling the whole trip, especially when we stopped to take a break by the river.

Steve really misses hiking with both of them. It was amazing that at the age of nearly 70 his Dad was able to do all ten challenging miles. We finished in the dark and were happy to see the car that Katy and NanaT had dropped off 10 hours earlier!
