The next trip that Steve took with Jacoby in 2015 was a monitoring trip to Mt Resolution, which is also quite close to Stairs Mountain, a beautiful spot that they would return to several times.
Steve decided to make it a multi-day trip, which meant that he had to carry quite a bit of gear into the woods. We loaded Jacoby into the car, and it was time to go!

Instead of carrying all that gear up to the peaks, Steve decided to stay at the Rocky Branch shelter, which was a two-mile (flat) hike from the car park.

We hiked up to Stairs Mountain, which has a beautiful 180-degree cliff view looking south.

We then walked over to Mt Resolution to monitor the site. Mt Resolution is an interesting mountain because there is no trail to the top, you either need a GPS to get there or step-by-step instructions (which the USFS had given me). The view that day was perfect.

The picture below shows Jacoby walking across a granite ledge on our way over to Mount Crawford, and the next picture shows Jacoby at the top of Mt Crawford, looking back at Stairs Mountain and Mt Resolution.

It was a great trip and Jacoby was tuckered out when we were done!
