One of the crazier parts of our first #skipwinter was when Becky called me in Texas and said, “Dad, I need you to speak in Las Vegas next week!” We were currently in Texas and Steve didn’t want to leave Katy in the middle of nowhere without any friends nearby. So we decided to do a long 2-day overnight haul to Florida, with an overnight in Mobile, Alabama.
So we found a campground near Katy’s Cottey friend Dana Del’Colle, and Steve flew from Orlando to Vegas!
Jacoby was happy to have his Momma to himself!
One of the highlights of Jacoby’s Florida visit was the chance to greet Dana’s daughter Danielle and her family! We went out to dinner and left Jacoby in the car. They said hello after our meal!
Wherever we camped we were near the water, whether it was the ocean or a lake!
Whenever we had the chance we took Jacoby to the beach, usually at night, to take a golden hour picture of him.
Jacoby’s grandparents also came down for a visit! So we gave him a haircut.
One of our last stops in Florida was Titusville, where we stayed in a campground with a lot of squirrels. Jacoby spent a good amount of time wanting to play with them!
