Jacoby’s first overnight stay in Texas was at a campground near the highway outside of El Paso.
We didn’t spend much time in West Texas because Steve had a meeting in Austin! So after an overnight in the Fort Stockton Walmart, we arrived in Austin, TX, and took this picture outside Jacoby’s favorite restaurant of the entire trip.
Since Becky worked for Dell, she also attended the same meeting that Steve was in! So Jacoby’s girl showed up and we met with one of her best college friends, Lydia!
Our time in Austin was marked by a trailer malfunction: our slide-out was broken! Austin was cold and rainy, and the trailer was cramped, so we ordered a part and then went to Galveston trailer until we could bring in our trailer for repairs.
Once our part arrived, we drove the trailer back to Austin and spent a full day waiting for it to be fixed. And when it was fixed, Jacoby was thrilled to be able to sprawl out on the floor again!
