On November 23, 2018, Jacoby’s life changed forever when he met his niece, Honey Kurtz!
Becky and Mike celebrated Thanksgiving in Roseville and then the three of them began their epic week-long drive to the East Coast to relocate to Quincy, MA. Before heading east they drove south to meet us in Palm Springs and spend a few days in our trailer.
While we were waiting at the campground to meet Honey for the first time, I noticed a sign right next to the parking lot, our first date with Honey!

Our meet and greet in the parking lot was a huge thrill for Honey, who was over the moon to meet his grandparents and his Uncle Jacoby. On Jacoby’s part, he let out a huge, high-pitched ‘WOOF’ when he met Honey. We’re still not sure what he was trying to say!
Jacoby was less than thrilled but put up with Honey’s hyperactivity (for the rest of his life!).
Our first trip was to bring them to a local dog park in Palm Springs so that they could play with each other.

Jacoby leaned over to Honey and told her that she was “alright.”

The next task was to bring Honey home so that she could get to know G-Pa and G-ma (these names would stick until Katy was renamed “Mimi” when Adelaide Rose was born).

Becky worked with Honey to teach her how to sit pretty like Uncle Boomer.

Then we took both of the dogs out on the town! We had a great time meeting Honey and Jacoby’s life would never be the same.
