From the moment we first saw Jacoby we knew he was a bit goofy.
After we brought him home, we noticed that he wrinkled his nose a lot. We didn’t realize that this was his smile (more on that later).
Over time, he grew black spots on his tongue (more about this later, too).
He would spend long amounts of time sitting and staring off into space (ample documentation will be coming).
And as he got older, he started his “nervous licking.” Whenever his anxiety level rose (e.g., wondering if someone was about to open the door for him to get in a car), he started licking the roof of his mouth like there was peanut butter stuck up there.
Over time we isolated the root cause of his nervousness and weirdness: He spent his entire first month with Becky and her friends, and then she was gone, back to California! Apparently he developed abandonment issues!

Here is his last picture with her before she flew back to BIOLA.
